LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – Most of the area today has reached 100 degrees and we’re not stopping there. High temps will continue to climb past the century mark with most of us experiencing highs anywhere from 100 to 107 degrees at the peak.
TONIGHT

Scorching hot afternoon. High temperatures will vary but I expect everyone to reach at least 100 degrees to as high as 107 degrees in the afternoon.

EXTENDED WEATHER PATTERN
The high pressure that currently has most of the southern US in its grip will maintain a pretty firm hold for the foreseeable future.

Triple digits will generally be the trend for the rest of the week, upcoming weekend and even well into next week.
