Sam’s Club is already home to 82 locations in and around Texas, including its footprint in major cities like Austin, Dallas, El Paso, Fort Worth, Houston and San Antonio. Now, the national club retail chain is setting up its latest shop in a suburban community outside Texas’ most populous city.
The Houston-area suburb of Richmond will soon be home to its second Sam’s Club location, according to project filings registered with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation on Tuesday, July 21. It’ll join the existing Richmond Sam’s Club off Bellaire Boulevard.
The upcoming project is tentatively expected to begin construction work in late November 2026, with an anticipated project completion date in mid-October 2027. Located at the intersection of FM 762 and Manford Boulevard, Richmond, TX 77469, the future warehouse will encompass nearly 164,000 square feet and features an estimated cost of $49 million. TDLR filings are preliminary and both timeline and cost estimates are subject to change.
It’s not the only site in development for Costco Wholesale’s rival retailer. Up in San Antonio, the chain confirmed it was investing millions of dollars into a new Sam’s Club in the Alamo City’s Far Westside at 3007 TX-1604 Loop, San Antonio, TX 78245. That project, featuring a roughly $24 million price tag, is also poised to wrap work in fall 2027.
