Hundreds more homes are coming to a west Fort Worth development that has been in progress for a decade.
In July, an application for a drainage study was filed with the city of Fort Worth to expand the Morningstar development, located north of Interstate 20 off Farm Road 3325.
The new construction, according to developer Kim Gill, will include 234 three-, four- and five-bedroom homes.
A pool with a playground and restroom building are also under construction near where the new homes will be built, Gill said, and a clubhouse will be constructed in the northern portion of the development.
More than 400 homes were completed in the development in October 2025, Gill said.
The new homes will sell for roughly $500,000, Gill said, and construction is expected to begin in the next year. More than 2,000 homes are planned for the development, which spans roughly 1,000 acres in Fort Worth’s extraterritorial jurisdiction.
