A Yellowstone actor is joining a new Dallas-set series coming to Paramount+.

Deadline reported Monday that Josh Lucas is the latest cast member to join Discretion. The legal thriller series also stars Elle Fanning and Lioness star Nicole Kidman.

Lucas is set to play Greg, a lawyer and Kidman’s husband on the show.

“Lenny (Fanning), a summer associate at a prestigious Dallas law firm, uncovers a web of NDAs masking a dark truth. When she realizes she signed the same agreement, her discoveries put her in the crosshairs of the firm’s most powerful female partner Sharon (Kidman) — upending their mentor-protégé dynamic and raising the question: who gets to keep secrets, and at what cost?” the show’s logline reads.

Lucas has been acting since the 1990s and is best known to Taylor Sheridan fans as playing a young version of John Dutton on Yellowstone.

The 55-year-old appeared in nine episodes of the show across three seasons. His biggest amount of screen time came in Season 5.

Discretion is based on author Chandler Baker‘s yet-to-be-released short story of the same name.

Baker, who grew up in Dallas, wrote the story in just two days last summer and based it on her time as a corporate lawyer negotiating “hundreds of NDAs a year.”

“This is my dream project with a dream team and dream partners,” Baker wrote on Facebook when the show was announced last fall. “And thank you to everyone in my corner who didn’t take their eye off the ball on this one for even a second.”

Deadline reports that Discretion will begin filming later this year for a 2027 release on Paramount+.

There’s no word on if the show will film in Dallas, but it will be set in Big D.
