Triple-digit heat will return to D-FW on Saturday, beginning a stretch of increasingly hot weather that could push temperatures to around 105 degrees next week.
Saturday will be mostly sunny and hot, with temperatures near 100 degrees, according to the National Weather Service’s D-FW office. High humidity could push the heat index, or “feels like” temperature, as high as 108 in Dallas.
A heat advisory will be in effect from noon to 8 p.m. Saturday for Dallas and portions of North Texas.
South-southwest winds will be around 10 mph. Saturday night will be mostly clear, with a low near 81.
Sunday will be sunny and hot, with a high near 102 and heat index values as high as 109. The overnight low will be around 82.
Temperatures are expected to continue climbing during the workweek. Monday’s high is forecast near 103, followed by 104 Tuesday and 105 Wednesday. Highs near 105 are also expected Thursday and Friday.
Overnight temperatures will provide little relief, with lows remaining in the low to mid-80s through the week.
