LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – The Lubbock Titans will be trying to reach the state championship game for the third year in a row, but will have to do so now in TAIAO D1. After a 2-6 start in 2026, the Titans rode a four-game winning streak into the state title game before losing to No. 1 Lantana Harvest 34-28.
“The goals this year for the team are the same thing I said last year, “unity”, and then we have a new motto this year, “Ad Finem Semper,” and that means “To the end, always!” So, no matter what we’re doing, we’re going to the end always,” said head football coach Tanner Osborn. “Whether that’s lifting weights on the practice field, during a game, it doesn’t matter if you’re up by 50, down by 50, whatever you’re doing, you practice perfect, because perfect practice makes perfect, and that’s what we’re going to be doing all year.”
The Lubbock Titans will be playing their 2026 home games in Welch.
