Texas Department of Transportation (July 26, 2026)
SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) – The Loop 1604 North Expansion Project continues with multiple closures announced by the Texas Department of Transportation.
The location of the following closures will impact the Loop 1604 and I-10 interchange.
What to know:
Weekday Nightly Closures (9 p.m. to 5 a.m.)
Eastbound and westbound I-10 frontage road and mainlane closures between Camp Bullis Road and De Zavala Road. One lane to remain open at all times.
Eastbound and westbound Loop 1604 mainlane and frontage road closures on at the I-10 interchange.
Loop 1604 frontage road closures between the I-10 interchange and Vance Jackson Road, and on I-10 between Via La Cantera and UTSA Boulevard.
Ramp and intersection closures at La Cantera Parkway, including alternating U-turns.
Weekday Daytime Closures (9 a.m. to 3 p.m.)
Eastbound and westbound I-10 frontage road and mainlane closures between Camp Bullis Road and De Zavala Road. One lane to remain open at all times.
Eastbound and westbound Loop 1604 frontage road closures at the I-10 interchange.
Alternating U-turn closures at La Cantera Parkway. Only one U-turn to be closed at a time.
Weekend nightly closures (9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Friday, July 24, 2026, through Monday, July 27, 2026)
Eastbound Loop 1604 mainlanes at the interchange.
Eastbound and westbound Loop 1604 frontage roads at the interchange.
Eastbound Loop 1604 entrance ramp after La Cantera Parkway.
Eastbound and westbound I-10 mainlanes at the interchange. Only one direction will be closed at a time.
Long-term Closures (24 hours a day)
Eastbound I-10 frontage road left lane from La Cantera Parkway to the Loop 1604 interchange.
Eastbound Loop 1604 entrance ramp after the I-10 interchange (permanent closure).
All closures are weather permitting.
