Bexar County Sheriff’s Office – Sheriff Javier Salazar (July 27, 2026)
SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — The Bexar County Sheriff’s Office is investigating after a body was found wrapped up in plastic in the closet of a West Side home Sunday afternoon.
Sheriff Javier Salazar says deputies were called to a home on Fort Leonard around 4 p.m. on report of a missing man in his 30s. Upon arrival, deputies met with two women who said the missing man had experienced night terrors the evening before and left the home overnight.
When one deputy took a closer look, Salazar says blood evidence was found that led to a deeper search of the home. Soon thereafter, a body was found wrapped in plastic.
Investigators think the body is that of the missing man, but that has not been confirmed.
Salazar says three people have been detained, including a couple who lives nearby and the woman who lives at the residence.
Detectives think an attempt was made to clean up the scene, and it is also believed the body shows signs of trauma, although details were not given on that. The victim of what appears to be a homicide was a friend of one of the women.
