FORT SMITH, Ark. – After almost three weeks on the run, a woman wanted in connection with a Fort Smith murder has been captured.

According to U.S. Marshals Service officials, investigators were able to track down 20-year-old Jasmine Johnston on Sunday in Houston, Texas, and place her in custody.

Investigators said that Johnston was wanted in connection with the killing of a 16-year-old that happened on July 7 in the 5300 block of Elm Street.

Johnston is now facing a first-degree murder and aggravated robbery charge.

Another suspect, 18-year-old Donny Warner, was previously arrested in connection with the case in Oklahoma.
