The NWS Fort Worth TX issued an updated heat advisory at 11:31 p.m. on Sunday in effect until Monday at 8 p.m. The advisory is for Wise, Denton, Collin, Parker, Tarrant, Dallas, Hood, Johnson, Montague, Cooke, Grayson, Fannin, Lamar, Young, Jack, Hunt, Delta, Hopkins, Palo Pinto, Rockwall, Kaufman, Van Zandt, Rains, Somervell, Ellis, Henderson, Navarro, Freestone, Anderson and Leon counties.
The NWS informs, “Heat index values around 106 degrees.”
“Hot temperatures and high humidity will increase the risk for heat-related illnesses to occur, particularly for those working or participating in outdoor activities,” adds the NWS.
This advisory is in effect until Monday at 8 p.m.
