Arlington police responded to a fight at a party over the weekend and found three men with gunshot wounds, a police spokesperson said.
Officers responded about 3:30 a.m. Sunday to an apartment complex in the 900 block of Terrell Circle to investigate the fight.
When officers arrived, bystanders waved them down and pointed to three men suffering from gunshot wounds. All the men, ages 23, 36 and 45, were transported to hospitals. Police said they were told all three victims are expected to survive.
They said based on their investigation it looks like two suspects came to the party and started a fight. During the fight, one of the suspects fired shots, and then both of them got into their car and left.
The officers said as they were arriving at the scene they saw a pickup truck drive away quirky, and witnesses later confirmed it was the suspects.
The two suspects, 19-year-old Alexander Rubio and 40-year-old Cristian Rubio Lora, were detained during a traffic stop in Mansfield. After they left the apartment complex, Arlington officers put out a BOLO with the truck’s description, resulting in the traffic stop by Mansfield police and Tarrant County sheriff’s deputies.
A witness identified the suspects, and both have been booked into the Tarrant County Jail.
Rubio, who was driving the pickup truck, faces charges of three counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and one count of fleeing a police officer. Lora faces three counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
The investigation is ongoing.
