CIMARRON HILLS, Colo. (KKTV) – The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office arrested a suspect who stole a vehicle and rammed into a deputy patrol vehicle late last Thursday vehicle as she attempted to drive away in the Cimarron Hills area.

El Paso County deputies said at about 11:30 p.m., deputies found an occupied stolen vehicle near the 600 block of Peterson Road, right next to Highway 24.

Deputies said they positioned their patrol vehicles to attempt to prevent the suspect, later identified as 26-year-old Zhane Molina, from driving away.

Deputies said Molina intentionally rammed one of the deputies’ patrol vehicles causing damage to both vehicles.

Molina drove recklessly from the scene, deputies said, where they later initiated a brief pursuit. Due to the danger posed to the public, the pursuit was terminated.

A short time later, deputies said they located Molina at another location and took her into custody.

Molina was booked into the El Paso County Jail on charges of first-degree kidnapping, second-degree assault, vehicular eluding, second-degree motor vehicle theft, reckless endangerment and multiple traffic offensives, deputies said.

As of Monday morning, Molina is being held on a $50,400 bond.
