WASHINGTON D.C. (KLTV) – The U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Ethics has announced an investigation referral for a U.S. representative who represents parts of East Texas.
The committee announced the extension of a “matter” regarding Rep. Lance Gooden, who represents the counties of Van Zandt, Henderson, Wood and a part of Upshur.
The extension of the matter triggers a House rule requiring the committee to release a public statement.
The notice from the committee does not release details on the matter regarding Gooden.
The committee will announce a court of action on the matter no later than Nov. 9.
Another East Texas congressman, Rep. Nathaniel Moran, serves on the committee.
