Potbelly, the iconic neighborhood sandwich shop known for its great food and good vibes, announced the opening of its newest shop at Fort Hood in Central Texas. Positioned within the base’s food court at the 19th Street Mini Mall, the new shop is ready to serve its signature oven-toasted sandwiches and other craveable menu items to military personnel and their families. Potbelly at Fort Hood will officially open on Tuesday, July 28.
While Fort Hood is recognized around the world for its military mission, it is also known as “The Great Place” for its longstanding commitment to supporting the nearly 40,000 soldiers, military families and civilian employees who live, work and serve on the installation every day. As a brand built around neighborhood connections and welcoming gathering places, Potbelly is proud to become part of that tradition by offering a mealtime hangout where the community can reconnect and enjoy a toasty meal with one another.
“Every new Potbelly shop is an opportunity to become part of a neighborhood, and Fort Hood is unlike any other,” said Jennifer Durham, Senior Vice President of Franchising and Development. “It is an honor to bring Potbelly to the soldiers, military families and civilian employees who make up the Fort Hood community and serve our country every day. We’re looking forward to this shop becoming a welcoming place where they can enjoy a great meal and connect with one another. This opening also reflects our continued commitment to thoughtfully expanding into high-traffic, non-traditional locations where Potbelly can become part of everyday routines.”
Operating hours for the new shop are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily. Opening at Fort Hood continues the focus Potbelly has on strategic growth opportunities in non-traditional settings, including military bases and other high-traffic locations that allow the brand to meet fans where they live, work and gather. In addition to this opening, the brand currently operates in three other military settings, including The Pentagon, Joint Expeditionary Base Little Creek-Fort Story and Fort Liberty, formerly known as Fort Bragg.
