EL PASO, TEXAS (KFOX14/CBS4) — El Paso Independent School District is outlining how students can receive free meals during the 2026-2027 school year, continuing service under the National School Lunch Program and School Breakfast Program.
According to EPISD, the district said on Monday that it will continue participating in the Community Eligibility Provision at qualifying campuses.
Students who attend those CEP schools will receive breakfast and lunch at no cost, regardless of household income, and families do not need to complete a meal application for students to receive free meals.
For students at campuses that do not participate in CEP, EPISD said families may still qualify for meal benefits through an application process.
The district listed the following non-CEP campuses:

Families of students attending those campuses are encouraged to complete a meal application if they believe they may qualify. EPISD said families can apply online here, and paper applications are available upon request at a school’s Food & Nutrition Services office.
EPISD said students approved for free meals will continue receiving free breakfast and lunch, and students approved for reduced-price meals will receive breakfast and lunch at no charge. Meal applications may be submitted at any time during the school year, with eligibility determined based on household income, participation in programs such as SNAP or TANF, or qualifying circumstances including foster care, homelessness, migrant status, or Head Start participation.
