A Seguin resident turned a stop at a Corpus Christi convenience store into a $1 million payday with a lucky Texas Lottery scratch ticket.
SEGUIN, Texas — Talk about a road trip souvenir.
A Seguin resident is celebrating a $1 million windfall after scratching off a winning Texas Lottery ticket purchased during a stop in Corpus Christi.
The lucky ticket came from the 200X The Cash scratch game and was sold at Circle K #2740130 on McArdle Road. The winner chose to remain anonymous, but the prize certainly speaks for itself.
Lottery officials say it’s the first of four $1 million top prizes claimed in the game, which features more than $115 million in total prizes. The overall odds of winning any prize are 1 in 3.41.
The convenience store that sold the winning ticket could also cash in, with the chance to receive a $10,000 retailer bonus through the Texas Lottery Retailer Bonus Program.
Whether it was luck, timing or a gut feeling, one scratch-off turned an ordinary stop into a million-dollar moment.
