WareSpace will celebrate the opening of its newest Plano location on Aug. 6 with a community-focused grand opening highlighting the entrepreneurs and small businesses that have moved into the facility, marking the company’s latest expansion in the Dallas-Fort Worth industrial market.

Rather than centering the event on a traditional ribbon cutting, the national co-warehousing provider is using the occasion to showcase the businesses operating from the new campus, along with local vendors, community partners and entrepreneurs that support the region’s growing small business ecosystem.

The opening also marks the completion of the redevelopment of a 174,500-square-foot former retail property into a modern small-business campus designed to accommodate more than 160 companies. The Plano site becomes WareSpace’s fourth location in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex, reflecting continued demand for flexible industrial space tailored to growing businesses that have outgrown home offices, garages or self-storage units but are not ready to commit to traditional warehouse leases.

“The grand opening of WareSpace is an exciting opportunity for our business community,” Plano Mayor John B. Muns said. “By giving small businesses a place to land, grow, and thrive, this facility is helping turn entrepreneurial dreams into lasting economic opportunity. We’re proud to welcome this investment and the innovation it will inspire.”

Levi Cohen, CEO of WareSpace, said the event was designed to recognize the entrepreneurs who will occupy the facility rather than the company itself.

“We did not want this to be an event about WareSpace. We wanted it to be about the businesses inside it,” Cohen said. “Most of our tenants outgrew a garage or self-storage unit, and a full industrial lease was too much building, too much commitment, and too much risk. Plano is already home to a remarkable community of small businesses. This grand opening is our chance to honor them and show them space that was designed for them.”

The Plano facility offers private warehouse suites ranging from 200 to 2,000 square feet and includes amenities such as climate-controlled space, 24-hour secure access, loading docks, Wi-Fi, industrial racking, conference rooms, shared kitchens, lounge areas and flexible lease terms with all-inclusive pricing.

Demand for smaller industrial spaces has increased as e-commerce businesses, tradespeople, product makers and service companies seek alternatives to long-term warehouse leases. Developers have responded by converting underutilized retail and industrial properties into flexible workspaces that combine private storage and production areas with shared amenities and business services.

During the Aug. 6 event, attendees will be able to tour the newly completed building, meet WareSpace tenants and connect with business owners from across the Dallas-Fort Worth region. The celebration will feature food and beverages from Plano vendors, exhibitors from other WareSpace locations, live demonstrations, networking opportunities and products created by tenants from WareSpace facilities nationwide.

The grand opening is scheduled for 4 to 7 p.m., with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 4:30 p.m., at the facility located at 700 E. Plano Parkway. WareSpace executives, Mayor Muns, customers and community partners will be available for interviews following the ceremony.
