Firefighters rescued three puppies Monday night during a west Fort Worth apartment fire.
Firefighters were called to an apartment complex in the 2800 block of Las Vegas Trail about 7 p.m., Fort Worth fire officials said on Facebook. A fire that had started from grease in the kitchen spread rapidly through the second-floor apartment.
The resident and his dog managed to escape, according to the post, and the blaze was brought under control in less than 15 minutes. Only the apartment where the fire started and the two adjacent units were damaged.
