AUSTIN, Texas — Someone holding a winning $1 million Powerball ticket purchased in Austin has only a few days left to claim the prize.
The ticket, purchased for the Feb. 2 Powerball drawing, is set to expire Saturday, Aug. 1. According to the Texas Lottery, the ticket was sold at Circle K #2704686 in Austin and matched the five white ball numbers, 3, 8, 31, 60 and 65, but not the Powerball number 4.
The winner has until 5 p.m. Friday, July 31, to claim the prize in person at a Texas Lottery claim center.
The prize may also be claimed by mail. Mailed claims must be postmarked on or before Aug. 1 and sent to:

Under Texas Lottery rules, players generally forfeit any claim to a draw game prize if it is not claimed within 180 days of the drawing date. Eligible military personnel may qualify for an extension of the claim deadline.
