Construction begins Aug. 3 on the $135 million redevelopment of Arlington’s former Lincoln Square, transforming it into the new lifestyle destination by 2028.
ARLINGTON, Texas — Construction is about to get underway on a major makeover for one of Arlington’s longtime Lincoln Square shopping centers.
Trademark Property Company and Harrison Street Asset Management announced this week that their more than $135 million redevelopment project, now called Anthem, will officially break ground on August 3. The 43-acre mixed-use development is expected to be finished by early 2028.

The renovation will transform the 43-year-old shopping center into a new destination for shopping, dining and entertainment for North Arlington and the DFW region, officials said in a news release.
“Lincoln Square has been an iconic North Arlington spot for nearly 40 years, but the aging retail center has not seen the innovations or private investment needed to keep it market relevant,” said Arlington Mayor Jim Ross.
The project begins with the demolition of about 70,000 square feet. Once complete, Anthem will include about 404,000 square feet of retail, restaurants, entertainment and public gathering spaces. Plans also include wider improvements throughout the property, including better walkability and connectivity, more surface parking, updated building facades, new branding and signage.
Developers say the project will feature a public green space, public art, outdoor seating, bike racks and community events as part of the overall design.
“With the addition of meaningful projects like the National Medal of Honor Museum and the expansion of the entertainment district near AT&T Stadium and Globe Life Field, North Arlington has been on a meteoric rise over the last decade,” said Terry Montesi, CEO and Founder of Trademark.
Trademark says the redevelopment has been shaped by community feedback. Since getting involved in 2022, the company has worked with the Arlington Economic Development Corporation and the City of Arlington, gathering input through surveys, planning sessions and community meetings.
The company also says it’s in final lease negotiations for more than 35,000 square feet of retail and restaurant space, with many of the future tenants expected to be new to the Arlington market.
While the focus is on creating a premier retail and entertainment destination, the design also leaves room for future mixed-use development as opportunities arise, officials said.
In June 2026, the Arlington City Council approved the purchase of a 2.31-acre parcel within Anthem for a future office development, which will move forward through a public bidding process.
