EL PASO, Texas (KFOX14/CBS4) — A 66-year-old El Paso man who was reported missing last week has been found dead, according to the El Paso Police Department.

Police said John Rumbaugh was located Tuesday in the area of Desert Boulevard and Thorn Avenue. Authorities confirmed he is deceased.

Investigators said no foul play is suspected at this time. Additional details about the circumstances surrounding his death have not been released.

Rumbaugh was reported missing after he left his residence on Bartlett Street on foot around 5 p.m. He was last seen wearing a blue shirt, gray Skechers shoes and possibly a Dallas Cowboys cap. Police had also noted that he walked with a limp on the right side of his body and had two mole marks on the left side of his face.

The El Paso Police Department had asked the public for help locating Rumbaugh after he disappeared, prompting a community search effort.

Police have not released any additional information regarding the investigation. Authorities said the case remains under review, but at this time there are no indications of criminal activity.
