Cowboys coach Brian Schottenheimer said he will have tougher practices in camp and will be tougher on his players. He had them run after practice on the first day to improve their conditioning. He also plans to have several two-hour practices during camp. “Yeah, a few more padded practices, a few more two hour practices,” Schottenheimer said when asked what a tougher camp would look like. “I think I shared with you guys in the spring, I’m not a big seven on seven guy, but we’ll have a few days that are two-hour type practices where we’re going to do seven on seven and nine on seven. Part of our winning edge we believe is owning the line of scrimmage. I’m really excited about those battles of watching our offensive line compete against what I think is going to be an elite defensive line. And so you’ll see a lot of padded work and it’s because we got to build some calluses and get ready.”
