A construction crew struck a gas line in the 5600 block of Blue Mound Road, prompting evacuations of nearby businesses.
FORT WORTH, Texas — The Fort Worth Fire Department confirmed that about 150 people were evacuated from businesses after a construction crew struck a gas line.
Fire department personnel were called out to the 5600 block of Blue Mound Road in Fort Worth just before 1 p.m. Thursday after a call about a gas leak. When they arrived, they found that a construction crew struck an 8-inch gas line.
The fire department evacuated area businesses as a precaution. Atmos was called to the scene and repaired the line before 4 p.m.
There were no reported injuries.
