HOUSTON – An investigation is underway after a vehicle crashed into Menchie’s Frozen Yogurt in northwest Harris County on Thursday morning, according to Constable Deputies with Constable Mark Herman’s Office.
The crash happened at the yogurt shop in the 10880 block of Louetta Road.
Officials said an elderly woman drove into the building, causing significant structural damage.
The business was closed at the time of the crash. No injuries were reported other than the driver, who was evaluated by EMS, deputies said.
Gabriel Rios, who witnessed the crash, said he was sitting in his truck while waiting for a delivery and heard a loud engine. He said he saw the woman’s vehicle jump the curve, hit the bumper of his truck, which spun her vehicle around and into the side window of the building.
“She seemed disorientated, but she wasn’t hurt,” Rios said. “She just seemed confused.”
