MURPHY – Lyndon Spriggs rushed for two scores and 75 yards on just six carries to help Allen post a 45-6 win over Plano East on Thursday night at Tom Kimbrough Stadium.
Jeremiah Daoud’s 72 yards on 3-of-4 passing, including a touchdown, paced Allen (10-0, 8-0 District 6-6A) early and helped build a 35-0 halftime lead.
Ty Snell, who relieved Daoud in the second quarter, passed for 101 yards.
Two big pass plays by Jackson Howard to Treyce Seldon (39 yards) and Gabe Berliner (35 yards) set up Plano East in Allen territory on two first-quarter possessions that resulted in missed field goals.
Howard scored Plano East’s (2-8, 2-6) only touchdown on a 50-yard pass from MJ Haggan in the fourth quarter.
