EL PASO, TEXAS (KFOX14/CBS4) — El Paso Electric crews are working Friday evening to restore power after a combination of heat-related outages and storm impacts affected parts of the Borderland.

According to El Paso Electric, as of about 7:07 p.m., crews were responding to 20 outages impacting about 1,239 customers.

The electric company said all available resources had been assigned and additional crews were called in to help with restoration efforts.

El Paso Electric said crews were working to restore service safely and as quickly as possible, and that more updates would be shared as restoration efforts continue.
