SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — The findings of a study looking into the fatal floods on San Antonio’s Northeast Side this spring will be shared Thursday.

After the June 12 floods that claimed the lives of 13 people, the city hired an engineering firm to analyze how 15 vehicles were swept into Beitel Creek.

The firm, Kleinfelder, is scheduled to share the findings of their study at 1 p.m. Thursday.

District 2 City Councilman Jalen McKee-Rodriguez tells KENS 5 that he has seen the results of the study, which will provide citizens a better understanding of the series of events or factors that caused the floods.

The bodies of 11 flood victims were found in the Beitel Creek area, while 2 more were found near Leon Creek and Highway 90.
