A stage that has hosted Clapton, Vaughan, and dozens of guitar greats is filling up again this September. Eric Clapton has confirmed the return of his Crossroads Guitar Festival, landing at Moody Center in Austin, Texas, on September 26 and 27.

This marks Clapton’s seventh time assembling the festival, a two-night event built around his 1998 founding of the Crossroads Centre Antigua. This September’s gathering marks 28 years of that mission, with every show helping fund addiction treatment and recovery programs at the Centre.

The lineup reads like a guitar hall of fame. Joe Bonamassa, Gary Clark Jr., Billy Gibbons, Buddy Guy, Sonny Landreth, John Mayer, the Del McCoury Band, Tedeschi Trucks Band, and Jimmie Vaughan all return as Crossroads veterans, joining Clapton for two nights of main stage sets and collaborative jams that mix genres freely.

Four artists step onto the Crossroads stage for the first time this year. Trey Anastasio, Tommy Emmanuel, Julian Lage, and Pete Townshend make their festival debuts, adding fresh textures to a bill already stacked with technical range and stylistic variety. Clapton himself will perform both nights, as he has at every prior edition.

Guitar Center returns as the festival’s exclusive retail partner, bringing its Guitar Center Experience to the venue grounds. Fans can browse gear, connect with brands including Fender, Gibson, Martin, PRS, and Ernie Ball, and shop a curated collection made just for the event.

A rare showcase from Guitar Center’s Legends Collection puts music history within arm’s reach. Clapton’s 1956 Fender Stratocaster, known as Blackie, and the 1964 Gibson ES-335 he played in Cream will be on display, alongside Stevie Ray Vaughan’s 1965 Fender Stratocaster, Lenny. Guitar Center will also induct an artist into its RockWalk on-site during the weekend, with the honoree still to be announced.

The Crossroads Centre Antigua will staff a booth throughout the weekend, walking attendees through its treatment philosophy and what the recovery process looks like from the first step forward.
