One person was killed and another injured in a shooting early Saturday, Aug. 1, in southeast Fort Worth, police say.

Fort Worth police are investigating a shooting that killed one person early Saturday and injured another.
Officers were initially dispatched to a fight call at the intersection of Miller Avenue and East Berry Street about 2:20 a.m. When they arrived, they learned about a shooting that had just occurred in the 4100 block of East Berry Street, police said.
The officers found one man with a gunshot wound. Medical personnel tried to revive him, but he died at the scene, according to police. He will be publicly identified by the Tarrant County Medical Examiner.
Another person with a gunshot wound showed up at a local hospital in a private vehicle. The person had been shot in the leg; the injuries are not thought to be life-threatening, police said.
Detectives from the Homicide Unit are investigating the shooting and the involvement of the two victims, according to police.
