The Village at Camp Bowie, a collection of shopping centers whose construction began in 1954, has been sold to Edens, a longtime owner of similar properties.
The shopping centers include a variety of retailers and restaurants, including Sprouts Farmers Market, La Playa Maya, First Watch and various specialty shops.
JLL announced July 30 it has arranged the sale of the 179,376-square-foot retail center in Fort Worth. Dunhill, a Dallas-based real estate firm, had purchased the center in 2019.
Edens was established in 1966 and owns more than 100 open-air retail and mixed-use developments nationwide, including seven in Dallas-Fort Worth. The Village at Camp Bowie is the first in Fort Worth.
A sale to the south
Westwood Financial, a retail real estate investment firm, has expanded its Dallas-Fort Worth portfolio with the acquisition of South Town Crossing II in Burleson. Located at John Jones Drive and Southwest Wilshire Boulevard, South Town Crossing II comprises 23,300 square feet of retail space. With this acquisition, Westwood now owns 83,286 square feet within South Town Crossing, representing 82% of the shop space surrounding the Target anchor.
Real Estate Deals
Exline Capital of Fort Worth has acquired the Tulsa Industrial Portfolio, a 24-building, 1.06 million square-foot portfolio in Tulsa. The off-market acquisition was acquired in partnership with Sword Industrial Partners. The properties have occupancy of more than 90%.
Haltom City-based RF Manufacturing has leased a 5,000-square-foot industrial facility at 4300 Garland Drive. Benson Williams of LanCarte Commercial represented RF Manufacturing in the transaction. RF Manufacturing will use the additional space to expand operations from its existing facility just one street over on Glenview Drive. The expansion will allow the company to increase production capacity while maintaining close proximity between facilities.
Acquisition
Fort Worth-based AZZ Inc., a hot-dip galvanizing and coil coating company, has acquired the Seattle Galvanizing Co., a provider of both hot-dip and spin galvanizing based in Arlington, Washington. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
The business will be integrated into AZZ Metal Coatings’ existing network of hot-dip galvanizing and spin plants, increasing its total galvanizing network to 43 sites in North America.
