Lone Star TRS LLC will give away 50 free backpacks filled with school supplies during a community event featuring free food and local vendors in Corpus Christi.
CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Families preparing for the new school year will have another opportunity to pick up free school supplies this week at a backpack giveaway in Corpus Christi.
Lone Star TRS LLC is hosting a Back to School Backpack Giveaway on Thursday, Aug. 6, from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at 5722 Patton St.
Organizers said 50 backpacks filled with school supplies will be distributed to students while supplies last.
The community event will also feature free hot dogs and several local vendors, giving families a chance to connect with businesses and community resources before the school year begins.
With students across the Coastal Bend returning to class, community backpack drives and school supply giveaways continue to help families prepare for the new school year.
