CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Taking root back in 1993, the Southside Farmer’s Market is the city’s longest-running farmer’s market.  However, a recent end to their lease prompted them to move from their usual location on Everhart.

Lucky for the Coastal Bend, shoppers don’t have to go too far for their weekly fix of fresh produce.

Beginning Aug. 8, the Southside Farmer’s Market will take up residence at the Coastal Bend Wellness Center located at 2882 Holly Rd. The market will continue to run there at their usual time of  9 a.m. to 12 p.m. every Saturday after, come rain or shine.

The market consists of local vendors coming in from within 200 miles of Corpus Christi. Usual wares include farm-grown vegetables, locally-raised meat, fresh eggs, baked goods and handmade crafts. Each item sold is guaranteed to be handmade or hand-grown.
