A flood advisory was issued Tuesday night for north Harris County as several thunderstorms brought locally heavy rain.
The National Weather Service said areas including Aldine and East Houston could see minor flooding and one to two inches of rain. The advisory was in effect until 8:45 p.m.
The Weather Service urged residents to turn around if they encounter flooded roads and to report flooding to local law enforcement.
Forecasts show that Houston will experience hot and mostly dry weather through Thursday. Some neighborhoods could see isolated afternoon showers and thunderstorms through the weekend.
