FORT WORTH — Jubilee Theatre will present “Klook and Vinette,” a musical drama by Ché Walker with music by Anoushka Lucas and Omar Lyefook, from July 31 through Aug. 30.
Directed by Khira Hailey, Klook and Vinette follows Klook, a drifter who has grown weary of life on the road, and Vinette, a woman running from a past she cannot fully understand.
As the two form an unexpected bond, they take a tentative step toward happiness, only to discover that the struggles they have tried to leave behind may be impossible to escape. Tough, tender, funny, and poignant, the play offers an unforgettable exploration of love, healing, and resilience.

Its American premiere was at Horizon Theatre Company in Atlanta in January 2018 (again directed by Walker), followed by a production at Zach Theatre in Austin, Texas, in spring 2019.
