EL PASO, Texas (KFOX14/CBS4) — Two suspected robbers were arrested Monday after they reportedly crashed their vehicle in Northeast El Paso after trying to run from the law.
According to the El Paso Police Department, Angel Aaron Flores, 22, from Horizon City, and Rafael De Jesus Bustillos, 18, from San Elizario, were arrested at the 8600 block of Dyer Street, in the area of Angel’s Triangle, when officers with EPPD’s Auto Theft Task Force– with the help of Texas Department of Public Safety troopers– tried to pull them over but refused and crashed the vehicle rendering it undrivable.
The two suspects, Flores and Bustillos, were being investigated in connection with an aggravated robbery that happened on Sunday.

Video of the arrest was captured by bystanders and was shared on the popular social media account @therealfitfamelpaso.

Below is the breakdown of the charges the two men are facing, according to jail records.
Flores:
Aggravated robbery.Aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.Evading arrest/detention with a vehicle.Fail to stop/render aid after a crash involving injury.
Bustillos:
Aggravated robbery.Evading arrest/detention.Assaulting a peace officer/judge.
Jail records show Flores’ bond amounts are pending, while Bustillos’ combined bond was set at $61,000.
Both men remain in jail.
