The Dallas Arboretum confirms that its popular 12 Days of Christmas Gazebos at the Arboretum will come to an end with the 2026 holiday season.
Leaders at the Arboretum sent NBC 5 the following statement:
For twelve years, the Twelve Days of Christmas Gazebos have been woven into the landscape of Holiday at the Arboretum. Families have made them a holiday tradition, children have grown up with them, and the spirit of Holiday at the Arboretum has evolved around them.
This season, the Gazebos will take their final bow, and we want to honor them by bringing the whole city together one last time. Community is what Holiday at the Arboretum has always been about. Not just a beautiful experience, but a shared one. After twelve years, these cherished displays earn their final chorus.
The Arboretum said when the Gazebos appeared in 2014, they were designed for a five-year run. As the Dallas community embraced them, the arboretum kept the tradition going. After 12 years, the animatronics are beginning to show wear, and the Arboretum said it is time to retire them.
In 2027, the Arboretum will debut HYBYCOZO, a new light and geometric sculpture installation that will bring a new dimension to the holiday season.
Staples like the Christmas Village and the light displays will remain at the heart of the holiday celebration, according to the Arboretum.
The final year of the 12 Days of Christmas opens Nov. 11, 2026, and remains on display through Jan. 3, 2027.
