Plano officials will close several roads Sunday morning between 7 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. to keep residents safe during the demolition.
PLANO, Texas — Residents in and around the Plano area could hear a boom Sunday morning. Crews are planning to demolish the former ESD campus in the city to make way for a new AT&T campus.
Plano officials will close roads Sunday morning to keep residents safe during the demolition.
Beginning at 7 a.m., Parkwood Boulevard between Legacy Drive and Tennyson Parkway, and Legacy Drive between Parkwood Boulevard and Hedgcoxe Road will close until around 9:30 a.m.
“If a nearby resident or business hears the demolition or feels a brief vibration, there is no need to call 9-1-1,” a city spokesperson said in a statement. “This demolition activity is planned. Police, fire-rescue and other city personnel will be on site throughout the operation.”
Residents are being told to stay outside of the controlled demolition area and follow directions from public safety personnel.
