Police said witnesses told investigators the man was riding on the side of a vehicle when he fell. Traffic investigators are investigating the crash.
CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — A man was seriously injured after witnesses told police he fell from the side of a moving vehicle early Thursday on South Padre Island Drive.
According to the Corpus Christi Police Department, officers were dispatched around 2:14 a.m. to the westbound lanes of State Highway 358 near the 6600 block in reference to a major traffic accident.
When officers arrived, they found a man with serious injuries. He was taken to a local hospital by paramedics.
Witnesses told investigators the man had been riding on the side of a vehicle when he fell off.
Because of the severity of the incident, Corpus Christi police traffic investigators were called to the scene.
Police have not released additional details about what led to the incident. The investigation remains ongoing.
