LAREDO, Tex. (KGNS) – Three people were hospitalized after a single-vehicle crash on Santa Ursula Avenue, according to the Laredo Police Department.
Officers responded at 2:28 a.m. on Aug. 6 to the intersection of Santa Ursula Ave and Garcia St., where a black car had struck a tree and a fence at a nearby business after the driver allegedly lost control while traveling southbound.
A 21-year-old female, who had possibly been ejected from the vehicle, sustained severe injuries to her lower body.
A 22-year-old male and a 17-year-old male were also found at the scene. All three were taken to a local hospital for medical treatment.
The 17-year-old male and the 21-year-old female were later taken to a hospital in San Antonio. The 22-year-old male was identified as the driver.
Due to the severity of the injuries, the LPD Crash Team Unit responded to further investigate.
The investigation remains ongoing.
