Fort Worth’s All American Tire has been acquired by Pittsburgh-based Liberty Tire Recycling as part of a major expansion of the larger company’s Gulf Coast operations. Liberty Tire has also acquired Louisiana-based Colt Tire Recycling and Houston-based Genan Inc.
Liberty Tire is a portfolio company of I Squared Capital, an investment firm that focuses on infrastructure. The acquisitions significantly increase Liberty’s rubber recycling capacity, tire collections and other capabilities across Texas and Louisiana.
Founded by Tom and Jodi Parker, All American Tire has grown into a market leader in collections and crumb rubber production in Dallas-Fort Worth.
Liberty said senior members of each company’s leadership team will be added to the parent company’s leadership team.
Park Place reopens
Park Place Motorcars Fort Worth, located at 5601 Bryant Irvin Road, has completed a 13-month renovation that brought sales, service and parts back together under one roof.
The updated facility combines contemporary architecture, advanced technology and additional capacity to support the dealership’s continued growth.
According to a filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, the project was valued at $18.5 million.
The showroom features the Mercedes-Benz Evolution Design for its dealerships.
The renovation also includes expanded and updated service facilities, additional service bays and a larger parts department.
“Our goal was to create an environment that reflects the professionalism, hospitality and excellence our clients anticipate and our members bring to work every day,” said George Johnson, general manager of Park Place Motorcars Fort Worth. “We look forward to welcoming everyone into a dealership designed for the way luxury automotive clients want to shop, service and connect.”
Park Place Dealerships was founded in 1987 and employs more than 1,400 people.
Vehicle care partnership
Fort Worth-based Skyline Automation and San Antonio-based Confinity Robotics have announced a strategic investment and partnership focused on expanding the application of robotics in vehicle care.
The partnership brings together Skyline’s vehicle-handling, automation capabilities and vision for next-generation facilities with Confinity’s robotic car-care platform. The companies will collaborate on technology integration, facility planning, operational performance and future commercial opportunities.
Beep, beep: Acquisitions ahead
Fort Worth-based TRP Infrastructure Services, a provider of roadway pavement marking and traffic control solutions, has gone down the acquisition road.
TRP Infrastructure has acquired Interstate Barricades & Markings, Alamo Roadway Materials, Traffic Control Products Co., DIJ Construction and Batterson. The acquired companies expand TRP Infrastructure’s geographic footprint and customer base across the central and southeast U.S.
TRP is a portfolio company of Arlington Capital Partners, a Washington, D.C.-area private investment firm specializing in government-regulated industries.
The acquisitions will enable the company to better service customers in Texas, Mississippi and the broader southeast while also enabling TRP to launch a new thermoplastic pavement markings production division, Gulf Highway Materials. The new division, which will include three separate manufacturing facilities acquired in this expansion, will serve as a supplier for TRP’s pavement marking projects across the region.
