The Arlington Police Department is investigating the unexplained death of a 42-year-old man.
On Sunday, August 9, 2026, at approximately 2:00 p.m., officers responded to the 2000 block of E. Road to Six Flags Street after being alerted that a 2025 Toyota Corolla had gone off the roadway and into a ditch.
The driver of the Corolla, the 42-year-old man, was the only occupant of the vehicle and was found unresponsive. He was transported to an area hospital where he was later pronounced deceased.
It’s unclear why the man went off the road. Investigators found no evidence of a collision. They have not ruled out the possibility that the man may have had a medical episode.
The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office will determine an official cause and manner of death and will release the name of the deceased.
