Singhs Vietnamese shuts down San Antonio locations after eight years in business

SAN ANTONIO — Singhs Vietnamese has permanently closed both of its restaurants, bringing an end to its eight years in business.

Co-founder Eric Treviño confirmed the closures after the restaurants didn’t reopen following what was supposed to be a short break.

The restaurant said on social media Aug. 2 that its locations would close from Aug. 3 through Aug. 5. However, both remained closed after that period ended.

Singhs Vietnamese established its restaurant on the St. Mary’s Strip in 2018. The business expanded earlier this year with a second restaurant on UTSA Boulevard. That location opened in January in the space previously occupied by Noodle Tree.

The restaurant became known for Vietnamese-inspired food including banh mi sandwiches, rice and noodle bowls, and fried chicken wings.

The reason for the closures of the two Singhs Vietnamese restaurants was not immediately clear.
