Officials say 18-year-old with an intellectual disability was found safe Thursday.

PLANO, Texas — Plano police issued an endangered missing person alert for an 18-year-old woman with an intellectual disability late Wednesday. 

She was reported missing by her caregiver Aug. 5. and had last been seen around 11:25 a.m. leaving her home in the 1700 block of Spanish Trail, according to a social media post from the Plano Police Department.

Family members told police the teen has an intellectual disability and functions socially at the level of a 4-year-old child, making officials concerned for her safety.

Just after 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Plano police said she was found safe and reunited with her family.
