This was actually filmed at the historic Ashton Hotel (610 Main St.) in downtown Fort Worth.
The 12-story tall structure was built in 1915 as a roomier replacement for The Fort Worth Club’s original two-story brick building. The club then built its own building in 1926 that still stands at 306 West 7th St.
Over the years, the Main Street building was owned by a supply company and later sat vacant for nearly a decade. In 1996, the building was purchased and $9 million was pumped into it for renovations. Finally in 2001, the building reopened as the Ashton Hotel.

Griner, who is from Houston and went to Baylor, was accused of having vape cartridges containing hash oil, which is illegal in Russia. She was found guilty and was given a nine-year prison sentence.
