O.D. Wyatt High School is under lockdown on Monday after a student took a photo of himself with a firearm on campus, Fort Worth ISD said.
Fort Worth Police say a student called her parent and told them someone at the school had a gun. When officers arrived they detained two people.
The lockdown was initiated as a precaution; students and staff are safe. Fort Worth ISD asks parents and families not to come to campus at this time to allow officials to complete the investigation.
Fort Worth ISD said it is working with law enforcement and will provide additional information when it is available.
Monday marked the district’s first day of school since the state took over.
