EL PASO COUNTY, Colo. (KKTV) – On Monday, the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office (EPCSO) announced it had arrested a fugitive wanted for Aggravated Sexual Assault on a Child in Bell County, Texas.
Investigators with the Sheriff’s Office learned that the suspect, 22-year-old Geronimo Soto, was believed to be at a home on the 4300 block of Erickson Drive in the Stratmoor Hills area.
Law enforcement used a drone to find Soto’s vehicle in the area and took him into custody without incident. He is being held on a felony warrant at the El Paso County Jail pending extradition to Texas.
“Strong partnerships between law enforcement agencies are essential to protecting our communities, no matter where a crime occurs,” said El Paso County Sheriff Joseph Roybal. “The quick coordination between the Bell County Sheriff’s Office, our Fugitive Impact Team, and the Intelligence-Based Operations Center demonstrates how technology and teamwork help us locate and safely apprehend dangerous fugitives.”
