The person who shot to death a 44-year-old man on Sunday night outside the victim’s northwest Fort Worth house was taken into custody after he barricaded himself nearby, police said.
Jose Escamilla, 23, was arrested on suspicion of murder in connection with the killing, which occurred about 8:45 p.m. in the 5600 block of Talons Crest Circle, according to a Fort Worth Police Department record.
The shooting victim, Rudy Jaramillo, was found inside a vehicle, according to the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office.
Police did not publicly describe what they believe motivated the killing.
Escamilla knew Jaramillo and other people who were on the scene, police said.
