SAN ANTONIO – The upcoming TNL high school football season is set to feature some of the biggest names and rivalries in town.
Included on this year’s schedule are the back-to-back defending state champion Smithson Valley Rangers, who will take on Sotomayor on Sept. 3 at Farris Stadium.
The season kicks off Aug. 27 with Stevens taking on Veterans Memorial at D.W. Rutledge Stadium. A week later, Smithson Valley takes center stage against Sotomayor, followed by Kerrville Tivy vs. Churchill on Sept. 10 at Comalander Stadium.
September continues with Holmes vs. O’Connor on Sept. 17 and South San vs. John Jay on Sept. 24, with both games taking place at Gustafson Stadium.
After a one-week break, Thursday Night Lights returns Oct. 8 with Burbank facing Sam Houston at Alamo Stadium.
The October slate also features New Braunfels Canyon vs. Wagner on Oct. 15, Brennan vs. Warren on Oct. 22 and East Central vs. Judson on Oct. 29.
The 2026 Thursday Night Lights schedule wraps up Nov. 5 with Reagan taking on Clark at Farris Stadium.
