CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — The man who died in a two-vehicle crash on Highway 361 near Beach Access Road 2 has been identified as 59-year-old Jarrod Fangman, according to the Nueces County Medical Examiner’s Office.
Officials said Fangman’s family has been notified.
The crash happened around 7:10 p.m. Monday and prompted authorities to shut down Highway 361 while officers investigated and crews worked at the scene.

Investigators determined the driver of the vehicle at fault was traveling south on Highway 361 when he swerved into the northbound lane, striking the second vehicle.
The driver of the at-fault vehicle suffered serious injuries and was taken to a local hospital by medics.
Alcohol is not suspected to be a factor in the crash.
Drivers were asked to avoid the area and use caution near the crash site.
The investigation remains ongoing.
