Bret Alan Westlake, age 66, of Rockport, TX, passed from this life on Monday, August 10, 2026, at Corpus Christi Bay Area Medical Center in Corpus Christi, TX. He was born January 25, 1960, in Ft. Worth, TX, the son of David Leon and Vivian Elaine Bullard Westlake. Bret was a contractor in the Rockport, TX, area for many years. He was a member of St. Peters Episcopal Church in Rockport. Bret enjoyed fishing and hunting in his free time.
He was preceded in death by his father, David Leon Westlake and his wife, Joetta Westlake.
Survivors are his mother, Elaine Stewart of Rockport, one son, Zach Westlake of Rockport, one brother, Brian Westlake (Grace) of Del Rio, TX, and his significant other, Dani Cameron Dusek of Rockport.
A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
